Committee voted in favour of amending the April 16 Recommended Rapid Transit
Network (Option 4) such that LRT service is extended to Scotiabank Place and
Trim Road (as shown by the dotted red lines in the map below) subject to the
following criteria:
Development of transit corridors inside Greenbelt first
Business case supports return on rail investment (ridership, capital and
operating costs)
Achieving a minimum density target (to be determined in the updated Official
Plan)
Availability of funding
Detailed costs for this Priority Network are being developed and will be
included in the implementation plan presented in the fall.
