Provincial Officers Order issued to Waste Management for Odours at the Carp Landfill

On May 11, 2007 The Ministry of Environment (MOE) issued a Provincial Officers Order to Waste Management (WM). Under this order WM will be required to undertake a series of activities to address the ongoing odour issues at the Carp Road landfill.

Included in the set of activities WM is being directed to complete are re-evaluating potential odour sources, additional monitoring of odours and levels of contaminants and posting regular reports on their website ( www.ottawalandfillea.com )
