Shad's First Annual Park Party

The event was a tremendous success as young families, teenagers, couples and seniors took part in Shad's Park Party, held on June 7th at Village Square Park. Mayor Larry O'Brien, Councillors El-Chantiry and Wilkinson, Chief Vern White, MPP Norm Sterling, and members of Ottawa's emergency services teams were just some of the special guests on hand.

Stephen Lewis and the Canadian Beef Farmer's Association were serving up a beef BBQ to delight of many hungry Stittsville residents.

Crash the Clown, a performance by the Cowguys, and Little Ray's Reptile Zoo was just some of the entertainment available.

The Councillor looks forward to making this an annual event, and celebrating the arrival of summer and bringing the community closer together.

Fill the Bus

Dedicated volunteers from across our community came together on June 7th outside of Brown's Independent Grocer to Fill the Bus in support of the Stittsville Food Bank. Residents were encouraged to make a charitable donation in the form of food or money to help the SFB get through the summer months.

The strength and support of our community shone through as more than 3,000 items were collected and thousands of dollars were raised.
